Iran Pledges No Assassination Plot Against Trump

This message came after intelligence reports in July about an Iranian plot to kill Trump, which led to increased security measures for him. The Justice Department recently charged an Iranian man, allegedly involved in this plot, with attempting to plan Trump's assassination by mid-October. Iran's assurances may reflect a strategic shift towards engaging diplomatically with the U.S., despite its long-standing vow of revenge for the killing of General Qasem Soleimani in 2020, ordered by Trump. Iran continues to deny involvement in assassination plots, maintaining its commitment to legal avenues for Soleimani's death.
