Bodies of US-Israeli Hostages Recovered From Gaza

Israeli forces recovered the bodies of Israeli-American couple Judi Weinstein-Haggai and Gadi Haggai, who were abducted and killed during the Hamas-led attacks on October 7, 2023, with their remains held in Gaza until a special overnight operation by the Israeli military and Shin Bet. The couple, both in their early 70s and from Kibbutz Nir Oz, were killed by members of a Palestinian militant group, with their deaths confirmed in December 2023. Their daughter expressed relief at the return of her parents' remains and called for all remaining hostages to be brought home. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reiterated the commitment to recovering all hostages, both living and deceased. Families and advocacy groups continue to urge the government to secure the return of the 55-56 hostages still believed to be held in Gaza.
