CNN’s Jake Tapper Accuses Trump Administration of Epstein Cover-Up

CNN anchor Jake Tapper sharply criticized the Trump administration for withholding information related to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, accusing officials of misleading the public and declaring the case prematurely closed. Despite a Department of Justice memo stating no evidence exists of a client list or foul play in Epstein's death, Tapper highlighted that numerous FBI files remain heavily redacted and unreleased, potentially containing details about powerful individuals involved. He pointed out that many Trump administration figures, including Attorney General Pam Bondi and others, previously fueled speculation by promising shocking revelations, only to later backtrack or dismiss the controversy. Tapper also referenced public frustration, including from MAGA supporters and Elon Musk, who questioned why the files had not been disclosed, suggesting the issue remains unresolved. President Trump himself dismissed questions about Epstein during a Cabinet meeting, calling further discussion a waste of time. Tapper warned the public was being "played for fools" and that the Epstein case would continue to provoke scrutiny despite the administration's attempts to close it.
