Former President Joe Biden has sold his presidential memoir to Hachette Book Group for an advance of approximately $10 million, to be published by Little, Brown & Co. This advance is notably lower than those received by Barack and Michelle Obama and Bill Clinton, and reportedly disappointing to the Bidens, who were rumored to have considered a joint deal worth up to $30 million. The book will focus on Biden's four years in office, his cognitive health, aggressive prostate cancer diagnosis, and the circumstances leading up to his withdrawal from the 2024 presidential race. Biden has publicly stated he is 'working my tail off' to complete the memoir, though his health may impact its timeline for completion and promotion. No publication date has been set. Creative Artists Agency represented Biden for the deal, as it did for his 2017 memoir.
