Gov. Kathy Hochul's Favorability Hits Record Low

New York Governor Kathy Hochul's favorability has reached a new low, with only 34% viewing her positively compared to 54% unfavorably, according to a Siena College poll. This marks the lowest point since she assumed office in 2021, with her job performance approval also dropping to 39%. Notably, Hochul is viewed less favorably than former President Donald Trump among New Yorkers, with Trump holding a 39% favorability rating. In contrast, Vice President Kamala Harris leads Trump by 13 percentage points among likely New York voters, despite her own favorability declining in Nevada. Harris's favorability nationwide has slightly improved since July, now viewed positively by about half of voters.
