Russia Condemns New US Energy Sanctions
Russia's Foreign Ministry has condemned the latest U.S. sanctions on its energy sector, labeling them as attempts to inflict economic damage while risking global market stability. Despite these sanctions, the ministry affirmed that Russia would persist with major oil and gas projects. The sanctions, which are the most comprehensive to date targeting Russia's oil and gas revenues, include measures against Gazprom Neft and Surgutneftegas, as well as 183 vessels involved in transporting Russian oil. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy welcomed these sanctions, asserting that they would significantly undermine Russian revenue and expedite peace.
