Paxton Sues Bexar County Over Voter Registration

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has filed a lawsuit against Bexar County to block a program that aims to send unsolicited voter registration forms to unregistered residents. Paxton argues that the initiative is illegal and could result in noncitizens and other ineligible individuals registering to vote, which he claims would invite election fraud. The Bexar County Commissioners Court approved a nearly $400,000 contract with Civic Government Solutions to implement the program, despite warnings from Paxton that it violates state law.
