23rd Anniversary of 9/11 Commemorated Nationwide

On the 23rd anniversary of the September 11 attacks, numerous remembrance ceremonies were held across the United States. Asheville, NC, and Henderson County held remembrance events featuring local law enforcement and fire departments, emphasizing community strength and unity. In Leland, NC, a tribute included personal stories from survivors like Alan Simmons. Boynton Beach, FL, hosted a memorial with military and first responder recognitions and a performance by a high school choral group. Other cities like Huntsville, AL, and Fall River, MA, conducted ceremonies with moments of silence, bell ringing, and wreath casting to honor the fallen.
