19-Year-Old Arrested for Arson Over TikTok Ban

A 19-year-old man from Wisconsin has been arrested for allegedly setting fire to a strip mall housing the office of Rep. Glenn Grothman (R-Wis.) in Fond du Lac, in response to a federal TikTok ban. The suspect admitted to starting the fire out of anger over a temporary TikTok shutdown, which was caused by a bill Grothman supported that required ByteDance to divest its U.S. operations. He is facing arson charges and remains in custody at the Fond du Lac County Jail.
