Netherlands Completes Delivery of F-16s to Romania

Hungary is enhancing its air defense capabilities by deploying newly purchased systems in its northeastern regions bordering Ukraine, following Ukraine's permission to strike deep into Russian territory and changes in Russia's nuclear doctrine. Meanwhile, Canada is set to deliver advanced NASAMS air defense systems to Ukraine as part of its ongoing military support. The Netherlands has completed the delivery of 18 F-16 fighter jets to Romania for training Ukrainian pilots and plans to send an additional 24 directly to Ukraine, which President Zelenskiy views as a significant boost to defense efforts. Additionally, the Netherlands delivered new air defense systems to Ukraine, with Defense Minister Ruben Brekelmans emphasizing the urgent need for these due to increased Russian aerial attacks, especially with winter approaching. The Netherlands has committed over 3.8 billion euros in military aid to Ukraine over the past 1,000 days, reflecting its role as a key player in the international coalition supporting Ukraine.
