Routh Charged in Trump Assassination Attempt

Ryan Routh, 58, is accused of attempting to assassinate former President Donald Trump at his West Palm Beach golf course on September 15. Federal prosecutors revealed that Routh left a note months earlier offering $150,000 to anyone who could complete the assassination, as he anticipated failing. Routh had a rifle and a list of Trump’s appearances, and was spotted by a Secret Service agent before he was able to shoot. He faces two gun charges and is expected to face more serious charges as the investigation continues. Routh was denied bail and remains in federal custody.
