Russian Attacks Kill Five, Hit Ukrainian Infrastructure

Russia has launched a series of large-scale missile and drone attacks across Ukraine, killing at least five people and damaging critical energy infrastructure. In Kryvyi Rih, two people died when a hotel was destroyed, while three others were killed in Zaporizhzhia. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed the successful test of Ukraine's first domestically produced ballistic missile amid the ongoing assaults. Zelenskyy has called for joint air defense operations and long-range capabilities from allies to counter these strikes. The Ukrainian air force managed to shoot down several incoming missiles and drones, but significant damage and casualties were still reported. U.S. President Joe Biden condemned the attacks and pledged expedited air defense support and energy equipment to Ukraine.
