Trump Urges NATO 50-100% China Tariffs, Russian Oil Ban Until Ukraine War Ends

US President Donald Trump has called on NATO allies to impose 50 to 100 percent tariffs on China to weaken its economic influence over Russia and help end the Russia-Ukraine war. He emphasized that major sanctions on Russia, including stopping purchases of Russian oil, should only proceed when all NATO nations agree and coordinate their actions. Trump criticized NATO’s commitment, describing the continued purchase of Russian oil by some members as "shocking" and argued that China has a "strong control, and even grip, over Russia." He framed the conflict as a "deadly, but ridiculous war" that would not have started if he were in charge, labeling it "Biden’s and Zelenskyy’s war." Trump stated that if NATO follows his proposals, the war would end quickly, saving thousands of lives, but warned that failure to act would waste the time, energy, and money of the United States. He called for the tariffs on China to remain until peace is restored and be fully withdrawn afterward.
