DOJ Reveals Classified Materials Seized in FBI Raid on John Bolton's Home
Federal agents recently conducted an FBI raid on the Maryland home of John Bolton, President Donald Trump’s former national security advisor, seizing a variety of items including folders labeled “Trump I-IV,” a white binder titled “Statements and Reflections to Allied Strikes,” four boxes of printed daily activities, two iPhones, multiple computers, hard drives, and USB drives. The search was part of a criminal investigation into Bolton’s alleged unauthorized removal and storage of classified information related to his tenure during Trump’s first term, though he has not been charged with any crime. The FBI warrant allowed agents to use biometric methods such as fingerprinting and facial recognition to access seized devices. Bolton, who served as national security advisor from April 2018 until his firing in September 2019 following policy disagreements with Trump, has since become a vocal critic of the president, especially concerning foreign policy. The Department of Justice continues to actively review evidence and interview witnesses in the ongoing investigation. Bolton’s lawyer maintains that the seized materials are routine records from his extensive government career, and the case has drawn significant media attention due to Bolton’s contentious relationship with President Trump.
