Ex-Proud Boys leader Tarrio arrested for assault near Capitol

This incident occurred just one month after he received a pardon from President Donald Trump, which erased his 22-year prison sentence for seditious conspiracy related to the January 6 Capitol riots. During the news conference, Tarrio and other members of the Proud Boys announced plans to sue the federal government for their prosecutions stemming from the Capitol attack. The woman involved in the incident reported the assault after placing her cellphone near Tarrio's face, prompting police to intervene. Despite not being present during the Capitol attack, Tarrio has been vocal about his grievances regarding the legal actions taken against him and his associates.
