Adams disclosed his terminal prognosis during a livestream, stating that his life expectancy is only a few months, possibly until summer, and described his daily experience as being in constant, intolerable pain requiring the use of a walker. He also mentioned considering California's law permitting terminally ill patients to opt for medical aid in dying once their condition becomes unbearable. Adams noted that he has had the cancer longer than Biden has publicly admitted and expressed a somber acceptance of his prognosis. Biden's cancer, characterized by a high Gleason score of 9, is similarly aggressive but hormone-sensitive, allowing for treatment options.
