Zelensky Seeks Support to End War by 2025

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is on a diplomatic tour across Europe, seeking increased military support and backing for his 'victory plan' to end the war with Russia by no later than 2025. During his visit to London, he met with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer and NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte, emphasizing the need for long-range weapons and security guarantees to strengthen Ukraine both geopolitically and on the battlefield. The talks in London are part of a broader effort, with Zelenskyy also scheduled to meet leaders from France, Germany, and Italy. A key summit in Germany was postponed due to US President Joe Biden's absence to address domestic issues, with Zelenskyy hoping for a rescheduling soon. At a recent summit in Croatia, Zelenskyy called for more investment in Ukraine's defense industry and reiterated the importance of NATO membership for Ukraine's long-term security. Despite concerns of escalation, the UK and US have not yet granted permission for Ukraine to use Western-supplied missiles within Russian territory.
