GOP Files Election Lawsuits in Nevada, Michigan

The Trump campaign and Republicans have filed lawsuits in Nevada and Michigan alleging election integrity issues. In Nevada, they claim that over 6,400 noncitizens were registered to vote in the 2020 election, with nearly 4,000 casting ballots, citing data from the Nevada DMV. Nevada Secretary of State Cisco Aguilar and Democrats counter that numerous safeguards are in place to prevent such occurrences, and that many of the alleged noncitizens may actually be naturalized citizens. In Michigan, the lawsuit argues that the state failed to properly verify absentee ballots, which could lead to improper handling and counting. Both lawsuits aim to change local election procedures to ensure only eligible voters participate in elections.
