Vice President Kamala Harris' campaign and the Democratic National Committee are directing nearly $25 million to support down-ballot Democratic candidates in the 2024 elections. This includes $10 million each to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee and the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, $2.5 million to the Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee, and $1 million each to the Democratic Governors Association and the Democratic Attorneys General Association. The funding aims to help Democrats secure majorities in Congress and state legislatures, crucial for enacting Harris' agenda if she wins the presidency. Harris' campaign has raised $540 million since July, reflecting strong Democratic enthusiasm following President Biden's withdrawal. The funds are particularly vital as Democrats face tough battles in the Senate and House, with several key seats in swing states. Campaign chair Jen O'Malley Dillon emphasized the importance of mobilizing the entire country for these races to protect American rights and economic opportunities.
