John Podesta Named as Successor to John Kerry

Idaho GOP Senator James Risch is calling for John Podesta, President Joe Biden's chosen successor to John Kerry as presidential climate envoy, to face Senate confirmation. Podesta, a White House advisor on clean energy, will assume the role of senior advisor for international climate policy and work out of the White House. Concerns have been raised over his radical left-wing policies, and his involvement in meetings with organizations linked to the Chinese Communist Party has sparked Republican concerns. Podesta will succeed Kerry, who stepped down to work on Biden’s re-election campaign.
