Florida Grand Jury Expected to Investigate Alleged Democratic Conspiracy Against Trump

A grand jury has been empaneled in Florida, set to begin in January 2026, which a legal ally of President Donald Trump claims will investigate the federal law enforcement raid on Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate and a purported Democratic conspiracy against him. Mike Davis, a close Trump supporter, stated on The Charlie Kirk Show that U.S. Attorney Jason Reding Quiñones, appointed by Trump, received court approval for the grand jury. Although the official court order does not specify the investigation's focus, Davis asserts it targets what he calls a "Republic-ending, Russian-collusion hoax" against the president and his supporters. The Department of Justice and court officials have declined to comment on the matter. This development follows earlier federal grand juries that indicted Trump on charges related to classified documents and alleged election-related conspiracies, which special counsel Jack Smith was unable to prosecute before Trump's 2025 inauguration. Davis further accused Smith of criminal conspiracy against Trump and called for his imprisonment, framing the grand jury as part of a broader legal battle involving Trump and his political opponents.
