Zelensky Faces Criticism Amid US Aid Discrepancies

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky contends that Ukraine has received only about $75 billion of the $177 billion in aid approved by the United States, primarily in the form of military assistance. He expressed uncertainty about the whereabouts of the remaining funds, which has sparked criticism from former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, who accused Zelensky of embezzlement and suggested misappropriation by officials in the US and Ukraine. Despite these allegations, Zelensky emphasized the importance of US support, noting that 40% of Ukraine's military equipment is domestically produced, while US contributions account for 30%. The US aid has faced delays due to congressional gridlock and concerns about escalating the conflict. Zelensky also pointed out that the aid has not been in cash but in tangible support, such as weapons.
