Lichtman, who has accurately predicted nearly every election since 1984, bases his projections on a model of 13 'keys' to victory, which include factors like the economy, social unrest, and candidate charisma. According to Lichtman, Harris currently holds an advantage in eight of these keys, while Trump has five. Lichtman has previously predicted Trump’s win in 2016 and Biden’s victory in 2020. Despite some subjective elements in his analysis, Lichtman remains confident in his model's reliability.
