Stelter announced his return in a surprise newsletter, stating that he has changed significantly since his departure and aims to bring a fresh perspective. His new role will involve appearing on air, developing digital content, and running the newsletter, which will not revive the previously canceled 'Reliable Sources' TV program. Stelter replaces Oliver Darcy, who left CNN to start his own media newsletter. His official return is set for September 9, coinciding with the start of the election debate season.
