Libertarian Party Urges Musk to Join Forces Over New Party

In reaction, Libertarian Party national chairman Steven Nekhaila has urged Musk to join the Libertarian Party instead of creating a new third party, emphasizing that the Libertarians already have near-nationwide ballot access and an established infrastructure that would take years to build from scratch. Nekhaila highlighted that Musk's substantial financial resources, demonstrated by his $250 million support for Trump in 2024, could transform the Libertarian Party into a formidable force. Kennedy Jr. Musk has shown support for libertarian-leaning Republican Rep. Thomas Massie and continues to criticize the GOP spending bill, pledging financial backing to Massie against opposition from Trump's political machine. Meanwhile, other groups like No Labels are also interested in partnering with Musk to address the nation's partisan challenges.
