VP Vance Denies Trump Epstein Birthday Note Amid Partisan Clash
Vice President J.D. Vance and the White House have strongly denied the authenticity of an alleged birthday note from President Donald Trump to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, calling it a fabricated scandal aimed at smearing the president. The note, which was publicly released by House Oversight Committee Democrats, features a sketch and a message signed "Donald," but Trump’s team and supporters argue the signature and drawing do not match the president’s known handwriting and style. Vance criticized the Democrats for ignoring Epstein’s victims for years and accused them of using the note as a political weapon akin to the Russiagate scandal. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt labeled the story as fake news and confirmed that Trump’s legal team is pursuing litigation against the Wall Street Journal, which first reported the note. The release of the note also drew mockery from Democrats, including Governor Gavin Newsom and Rep. Ilhan Omar, who highlighted Vance’s prior dismissal of the story as "complete and utter bulls***." Despite the backlash and questions about the note’s legitimacy, Vance and the White House maintain that the effort is a politically motivated attack rather than a genuine concern about Epstein’s crimes.
