Suspect Charged in Georgia Fitness Influencer Murder

Angel DeJesus Rivera-Sanches, a 24-year-old illegal immigrant from Mexico, has been charged with the kidnapping and murder of 25-year-old Minelys Zoe Rodriguez-Ramirez, a Puerto Rican fitness influencer, in Georgia. Rodriguez-Ramirez was last seen on October 22 near a Walmart in Cornelia; her body was discovered a week later. Rivera-Sanches was arrested while attempting to flee to Mexico and is expected to face additional murder charges following an autopsy. Georgia lawmakers, including Senators John Albers and Steve Gooch, have criticized federal border policies, linking Rodriguez-Ramirez's tragic death to the Biden administration's immigration stance.
