Nebraska Abortion Measures on November Ballot

Nebraska has become the first state to have conflicting abortion measures on the same ballot since the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade in 2022. One measure seeks to enshrine a 12-week ban, while the other aims to guarantee abortion rights until fetal viability. Montana has also certified an open primary initiative and a measure requiring candidates to secure over 50% of the vote. Additionally, North Dakota will vote on a measure to limit ballot initiatives to a single subject. Meanwhile, the Arkansas Supreme Court has blocked an 18-week abortion amendment from the ballot due to procedural issues.
