Poll: Americans View Biden's Presidency Negatively
As President Joe Biden approaches the end of his term, a new AP-NORC poll reveals that public perception of his presidency is significantly more negative than that of his predecessors, Donald Trump and Barack Obama. Only about 25% of Americans rated Biden as a 'good' or 'great' president, with less than 10% considering him 'great', while nearly half described both Biden and Trump as 'poor' or 'terrible'. Biden’s approval ratings are notably lower compared to Obama, who left office with around 50% approval, and closer to Richard Nixon's ratings following the Watergate scandal. The findings indicate considerable disappointment among Democrats, particularly younger and minority voters, who feel Biden has not fulfilled his promises. A Gallup poll further underscores this sentiment, with 54% of Americans believing Biden will be viewed as a 'below average' or 'poor' president historically. Overall, Biden's presidency is seen as lackluster, with many Americans citing negative impacts on key issues such as the economy and foreign relations.
