Biden Aides to Testify in House Cognitive Probe

Four former top Biden White House aides—Neera Tanden, Anthony Bernal, Ashley Williams, and Annie Tomasini—have agreed to give transcribed interviews to the House Oversight Committee between June 24 and July 18, with Tanden testifying first. The Republican-led investigation, chaired by James Comer, is focused on alleged cover-ups of President Joe Biden's cognitive decline and possible unauthorized use of the autopen for executive actions and pardons. Biden’s former physician, Dr. Kevin O’Connor, has been subpoenaed after declining a voluntary interview. The inquiry is driven by accusations, supported by former President Trump, that aides acted on Biden's behalf as his mental fitness allegedly waned—claims Biden has publicly denied. Additional former senior White House officials have also been asked to testify, with their dates not yet scheduled.
