Man Charged with Murder of Missing Woman

Don Edward Bullard Jr., 60, has been charged with the murder of Angelique Yvonne Hataway, a woman reported missing in April 2019. Hataway's remains were discovered behind the residence they shared on North Mayhill Road in Denton, Texas, in September 2024, and were positively identified through DNA testing on December 17. Bullard, who had denied knowledge of Hataway's whereabouts during previous interviews, was the last person believed to have seen her. An arrest warrant was issued for Bullard on December 19, while he was already in custody on unrelated charges, including unlawful possession of a firearm. This case highlights the long-standing issue of missing persons and the challenges in solving such cases, as it took five years to identify Hataway's remains. The police have yet to disclose a possible cause of death for Hataway.
