Meta's Threads Custom Feeds Compete with Bluesky

Meta is rolling out a new feature on its Threads platform called custom feeds, allowing users to create personalized feeds based on specific topics or user profiles. This feature is designed to enhance user experience and compete with Bluesky, another app offering similar capabilities. Users can create these feeds by searching for a topic and using the three-dot menu to add it as a new feed, which appears next to the 'For You' and 'Following' tabs. The rollout follows a successful testing phase and is aimed at maintaining Threads' competitive edge against Bluesky, which has seen significant user growth recently. Threads has been rapidly growing, adding over a million users daily, and now boasts more than 275 million monthly active users. This move is part of Meta’s strategy to leverage Instagram’s social graph and integrations to expand Threads' user base.
