SpaceX Gears Up for Starship Test Flight

SpaceX is preparing for the seventh orbital flight test of its Starship rocket, scheduled for launch on Wednesday at 4:00 pm local time from its Starbase facility in Boca Chica, Texas. This iteration of Starship, standing at 123 meters tall, features significant upgrades including redesigned flaps and a propulsion system capable of carrying 25% more propellant. A key goal for this launch is to successfully catch the first-stage Super Heavy booster using a 'chopstick' mechanism on the launch tower, a feat only accomplished once in prior tests. For the first time, the Starship will also deploy 10 Starlink simulators during the flight, which are set to splash down in the Indian Ocean.
