Ex-FBI Agent Thibault Accused of Leaking Sensitive Info, Nude Photos

Tim Thibault, a former FBI agent, is facing serious allegations of misconduct, including leaking sensitive information and sharing a nude photo of his girlfriend via his government email. Emails released by Republican senators reveal that Thibault improperly communicated official documents and sensitive investigatory details, including those related to a federal investigation into anti-abortion activist Lauren Handy. The correspondence, sent to Melissa Morgan-Ransome between February and May 2022, also included personal messages that raised ethical concerns, especially given Thibault's previous role as a lecturer on ethical conduct. Senators Chuck Grassley and Ron Johnson have called for an investigation into Thibault's actions, which they characterize as toxic and unprofessional. Thibault, who resigned in August 2022, was previously accused of obstructing the investigation into Hunter Biden by mischaracterizing evidence in the case. His conduct has drawn significant scrutiny, especially as it occurred while he was on duty at the FBI's Washington Field Office.
