Polling Underway for Supreme Court Bar Elections

Polling for the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) elections is currently underway, with over 4,000 lawyers voting to elect key office bearers including president and secretary. The main candidates are Mian Muhammad Rauf Atta from the Asma Jahangir group and Munir Ahmed Khan Kakar from the Hamid Khan group, competing for the presidency. In Lahore, which has the highest number of voters at 1,414, 17 candidates are contesting for five positions. Voting began at 8:00 AM and will continue until 5:00 PM, with strict security measures in place to ensure a transparent process. Other notable contests include Salman Mansoor against Malik Zahid Aslam for the secretary position and various candidates vying for vice president and additional secretary roles.
