Fox News Digital Surpasses CNN in Traffic

Fox News has seen a significant increase in viewership since the November 2024 presidential election, capturing 73% of all cable news primetime viewers, with an average of 3.2 million total viewers, while CNN and MSNBC face steep declines. CNN's primetime audience has dropped by 35% to just 469,000 viewers, while MSNBC experienced even larger losses of 47%, averaging 702,000 viewers. On the digital front, Fox News Digital surpassed CNN for the third time this year with nearly 116 million unique visitors in October, a 26% year-over-year increase, while CNN's unique visitors fell by 11%. The Fox News mobile app also saw robust engagement with 6.5 million unique visitors. Additionally, Fox News led social media interactions with 47 million engagements, significantly outpacing its competitors. This dominance in viewership and digital metrics indicates a shifting landscape in cable news and online media consumption, particularly as the 2024 election approaches.
