Eric Trump Joins Metaplanet to Boost BTC Strategy

Metaplanet, a Tokyo-based investment firm and the largest corporate Bitcoin holder in Japan, has appointed Eric Trump to its new Strategic Board of Advisors to enhance its Bitcoin adoption strategy. The firm recently purchased an additional 150 Bitcoin for approximately $12.5 million, raising its total holdings to 3,200 BTC. Metaplanet is aggressively pursuing a strategy to acquire 21,000 BTC by 2026, using financial instruments like zero-interest bonds to fund its purchases. Despite a slight dip in stock price, Metaplanet's shares have shown substantial growth over the past year, reflecting increased interest in Bitcoin among institutional investors. The company aims to leverage Trump's business acumen and influence to advance its Bitcoin-centric vision.
