Royal Shakespeare Company Adapts Roald Dahl's BFG for 2025 Season

The Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) is set to adapt Roald Dahl's beloved children's novel 'The BFG' for the stage, marking a festive debut from November 25, 2025, at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon. Directed by RSC co-artistic director Daniel Evans, the adaptation, crafted by playwright Tom Wells, follows the adventures of Sophie and the friendly giant as they confront larger giants threatening children. This production represents the RSC's first stage adaptation of a Dahl work since 'Matilda the Musical' in 2010 and will also move to the Chichester Festival Theatre in early 2026.
