Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police are investigating multiple shootings across Charlotte from Friday morning into early Saturday, leaving at least three people dead and several others injured. Just after 2 a.m. in northeast Charlotte on Hollow Creek Circle two people were shot, one of whom was pronounced dead at the scene while the other is hospitalized and expected to be OK. Around 4 a.m. in southeast Charlotte near the Safari Lux Lounge on East Independence Boulevard, three people were shot after an altercation; two self-transported to hospitals and a third, transported by MEDIC, later died at the hospital; off-duty officers nearby responded. On Friday around 9:15 a.m. in southwest Charlotte along Deboer Avenue off West Arrowood Road, police found a person who was pronounced dead at the scene. All scenes remain under investigation, CMPD is searching for suspects, and officials ask anyone with information to call detectives at 704-432-8477 or Charlotte Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
