The Friedkin Group has reached an agreement to acquire Farhad Moshiri’s 94% stake in Everton Football Club, potentially ending years of financial and ownership uncertainty. The deal, which remains subject to approval from the Premier League, Football Association, and Financial Conduct Authority, promises to bring stability and fresh investment, including the completion of the new Everton Stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock. This agreement comes after previous takeover attempts fell through, including a recent bid by John Textor, co-owner of Crystal Palace. The Friedkin Group, led by US billionaire Dan Friedkin, also owns Italian club AS Roma and has committed to addressing Everton's significant debt, which includes £200 million loaned by 777 Partners. Everton fans are hopeful this will mark the beginning of a new era for the club, which currently struggles at the bottom of the Premier League table.
