Deadline Approaches for LA Wildfire Relief Fund Applications

Los Angeles County officials are reminding business owners, nonprofits, and workers affected by the January wildfires that the deadline to apply for financial relief is approaching on March 2 at 5 p.m. The LA Region Small Business Relief Fund offers grants between $2,000 and $25,000 for those suffering significant losses, with priority given to businesses that were completely destroyed. Simultaneously, the Worker Relief Fund provides $2,000 grants to workers who lost income or employment due to the disaster. Eligible applicants must be at least 18 years old and reside in Los Angeles County, having been employed or self-employed at the time of the wildfires. To assist in the application process, multilingual support is available at various centers throughout the county. Kathryn Barger, Chair of the LA County Board of Supervisors, emphasizes the importance of accessing these funds for community recovery.
