The NIS indicated that the 'liquid oxygen and petroleum engine' North Korea claimed to use likely originated from Russia, raising concerns about military collaboration between the two nations. This cooperation follows North Korean leader Kim Jong Un's visit to Russia, where President Vladimir Putin promised support for satellite technology. Additionally, Russia has provided aid in North Korea's successful satellite launch last November. Despite ongoing military ties, both countries deny any arms transactions, and the NIS assured that U.S.-South Korea intelligence cooperation remains strong, unfazed by recent indictments of a former CIA member. Meanwhile, Kim's daughter, Ju Ae, is being groomed to potentially take over leadership in North Korea.
