Boulder Terrorist Is Illegal Egyptian Immigrant Who Overstayed Visa

Mohamed Sabry Soliman, an Egyptian national who entered the United States illegally by overstaying a B1/B2 visa issued under the Biden administration, was arrested following a terror attack at a pro-Israel demonstration in Boulder, Colorado. Soliman used Molotov cocktails and an improvised flamethrower during the attack, setting multiple people on fire, including children, and shouted pro-Palestinian slogans such as "Free Palestine" and "we have to end Zionists." Authorities have confirmed at least six victims with injuries ranging from serious to minor, and some victims required airlift transport to hospitals. The FBI is investigating the incident as a targeted terror attack and believes Soliman acted alone, with no current evidence linking him to a larger network. Soliman had filed an asylum claim and was granted work authorization by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services in March 2023, which has since expired. The Department of Justice has vowed to prosecute the case fully, while local officials have described the attack as a hate crime.
