Indiana National Guard Partners with Saudi Arabia

Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb has concluded his final international trip, visiting Saudi Arabia and Kuwait to strengthen partnerships in the life sciences and defense sectors. This trip, his 27th since taking office, was funded by private donations and aimed at enhancing Indiana's reputation in advanced manufacturing and cultural relations. During the trip, Indiana officials engaged with Saudi representatives to explore economic ties, with Indiana and Saudi Arabia exchanging $418 million in goods in 2023. Concurrently, the Indiana and Oklahoma National Guards announced a new partnership with Saudi Arabia under the Department of Defense's State Partnership Program, aimed at fostering military cooperation and improving regional security capabilities. This program, operational for over 30 years, facilitates military-to-military engagements to bolster defense security goals. Both initiatives reflect a commitment to building strategic relationships and enhancing security cooperation between Indiana and Saudi Arabia.
