Texas Man Sentenced to Life for Christmas Day Murder of Pregnant Wife

Nasib Ahsan, a 35-year-old man from McKinney, Texas, has been sentenced to life in prison for strangling his pregnant wife, Nawreen Tuli, on Christmas Day 2023. Following a guilty plea, Ahsan was found to have committed a 'vicious, premeditated act of domestic violence' that tragically ended the lives of both Tuli and her unborn child. Prior to the murder, Tuli had sought a protective order against Ahsan due to his controlling and violent behavior, having been arrested for assaulting her just two months earlier. On the day of the incident, Ahsan confessed to family members over the phone, leading them to call law enforcement. Upon arrival, police discovered Tuli dead in their apartment, with clear signs of strangulation. District Attorney Greg Willis emphasized the importance of holding Ahsan accountable to protect future victims of domestic violence.
