U.S., Qatar Announce $243.5 Billion in Deals

During President Donald Trump's visit to Qatar, the White House announced that economic agreements valued at over $243.5 billion were signed, forming the foundation for a larger $1.2 trillion economic pledge between the U.S. and Qatar. A key highlight is Qatar Airways' historic $96 billion deal to buy up to 210 Boeing 787 Dreamliner and 777X aircraft, all powered by GE Aerospace engines. This purchase marks Boeing's largest-ever widebody and 787 order. The agreements are projected to support more than 150,000 U.S. jobs annually and to strengthen American manufacturing, innovation, and defense cooperation. Additional deals include Qatar's purchase of MQ-9B drones and expanded defense partnerships. Trump praised the deepening economic and strategic ties between the two countries.
