Bondi Explains Epstein Jail Video Gap

Attorney General Pam Bondi explained that the missing minute in the surveillance video outside Jeffrey Epstein's jail cell—from 11:58:58 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.—is due to an outdated video system at the Metropolitan Correctional Center that resets nightly, causing such gaps in all recordings. The Department of Justice and FBI released the video and a memo reaffirming Epstein's death as a suicide and stated that no 'client list' exists, contradicting Bondi's earlier claims. Bondi said additional footage from other nights may be released to demonstrate the recurring nature of the missing minute. Despite these explanations, critics, especially conservatives, continue to suspect foul play and accuse Bondi of not delivering on promised revelations. President Trump dismissed media questions about Epstein as inappropriate given other national concerns. The FBI maintains that, based on their review, no one entered Epstein's cell area during the critical time.
