WWE Hall of Famer Jimmy Hart has expressed deep shock and sadness over the sudden death of his longtime friend and wrestling legend Hulk Hogan at age 71. Hart revealed that he last spoke to Hogan the night before his passing, receiving encouraging news from Hogan's assistant that he was doing well, which made the news of Hogan's cardiac arrest and death the following morning all the more surprising. The two shared a close friendship, regularly watching wrestling together and enjoying karaoke nights with Hogan's son at their Clearwater, Florida bar. Despite Hogan's multiple past surgeries and health issues, including neck surgery in May to alleviate numbness, Hart and others had hoped for his recovery and avoided visits to prevent infections. Hogan was a 12-time world champion and two-time WWE Hall of Famer, with Hart himself also inducted in 2005. WWE paid tribute to Hogan at an event in Cleveland, highlighting the strong bonds within the wrestling community affected by the loss.
