Japan approves climate policies aiming for 73% GHG reduction by 2040

Japan has approved a new Strategic Energy Plan and updated industrial policies aimed at significantly reducing greenhouse gas emissions, targeting a 60% reduction by 2035 and 73% by 2040 compared to 2013 levels.
