Ohio and Georgia Democrats Win Congressional Elections

Brian Jack, a former aide in President Trump's White House, has won a Congressional seat in Georgia's 3rd District, succeeding Rep. Drew Ferguson who did not seek reelection. Jack's victory over Democrat Maura Keller was supported by Trump's endorsement and House Speaker Kevin McCarthy's fundraising efforts. In Ohio, Democratic Rep. Joyce Beatty was reelected to the U.S. House for a seventh term, continuing her representation of the 3rd Congressional District centered around Columbus. Similarly, Democratic Rep. Shontel Brown secured reelection in Ohio's 11th District, which includes Akron and Cleveland, defeating Republican Alan Rapoport. Both Beatty and Brown's wins were in heavily Democratic districts, with Beatty maintaining her long-standing hold and Brown continuing her service since a 2021 special election.
